Private Acting Coaching
Need help for an upcoming audition? Want to brush up your acting technique?
Divine Stage Works offers short-term private acting coaching for adults and children (ages 9 and up) in a safe, supportive, and FUN atmosphere. Students can explore the following during one-on-one sessions:
* Audition & callback prep
* Monologue & song prep (with recorded accompaniment)
* Technique: Concentration, imagination, action, emotional truth
* Text analysis
* Identifying personal habits that block your freedom on stage
* Southern dialects
* Resume and headshot consultation
Instructor: Peyton Pugmire (see bio below)
Fee: $40/hour
Location: Student must provide adequate space

Peyton Pugmire (Divine Stage Works’ Founding Artistic Director) is a theater director, teacher, producer, designer and actor. He has been gathering theater artists of all ages for the sake of learning and creation for over eleven years. He is the Associate Director of the Theater Division at The Boston Conservatory. Past work includes serving as Producing Artistic Director of the award-winning Watertown Children's Theatre where he also taught private acting lessons for children and adults. Peyton’s private students have won roles with the following local/national theater companies and schools: Paper Mill Playhouse (NJ), The Huntington Theater Company, New Repertory Theatre, Wheelock Family Theater, and The Walnut Hill School. Peyton holds a BA in Theater Performance from The College of Charleston and an MA in Theater Education from Emerson College.
